Test if your ANTIVIRUS is in good shape or not

ANTIVIRUS CHECK

To test if your antivirus is in good shape you should do as in continuing:

>> Open Notepad and copy this text:

X5O!P%@AP[4\PZX54(P^)7CC)7}$EICAR-STANDARD-ANTIVIRUS-TEST-FILE!$H+H*

>>the text should be in one horizontal line (untick wordwrap)

>>Then save file as
"eicar.com" including quotation-marks

After some
seconds of saving this file your antivirus should come up with the message that this file is infected by virus and asking permission for its deletetion/clean.

This file is secure and its not gonna infect your computer in whatever way.It is a standart text developed by the European Institute for Computer Anti-virus Research (EICAR).
Every antivirus is programed to load this file as a virus.

If your antivirus is
not going to hack this file as a virus ,in your screen will appear DOS window with this text EICAR-STANDARD-ANTIVIRUS-TEST-FILE".If
this happens then you should probably find some
other Antivirus up to date, meaning your PC might
already being
infected from viruses and your current antivirus do not recognize them.

  2. quarantined means that your antivirus that is
McAfee has put the file under its supervision rather than deleting it..
So from a quarantined file virus cannot spread and all contact with computer of that file is broken..

hope I answered your question successfully.
    thanks.
